Dryer Vent Cleaning in Arizona

Standard dryer vent cleaning is $79. We brush the whole run from the dryer to the outside hood, measure the airflow before and after, and show you photos. Anything more is priced before we touch it.

How much does dryer vent cleaning cost in Arizona?

With AZ Dryer Pros, standard dryer vent cleaning is $79 for a typical wall vent. Heavily clogged or long runs start at $129, and roof or second-floor vents at $199. The technician measures the airflow, shows you photos and gives you the exact price before any extra work. If you say no to anything beyond the $79 cleaning, you only pay the $79.

What the $79 cleaning includes

When $79 isn't the whole price

Most vents are a standard cleaning. The price changes when the job is bigger than that, and you see why before anything happens:

How often should a dryer vent be cleaned?

At least once a year, which is what the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) recommends. Clean it sooner if loads take longer than they used to, the laundry room gets hot, or you have a large family, pets or a long or roof-mounted vent. The lint screen should be cleaned before or after every load; it catches most lint, but not all of it.

Why it matters

Lint is the fuel in most dryer fires. The U.S. Fire Administration estimates about 2,900 home clothes dryer fires a year, and failure to clean is the leading cause, at about a third of them. A clogged vent also makes the dryer run longer and hotter, which wears out heating elements and thermal fuses and costs more to run.

Is your vent too long?

Building code (IRC M1502.4.5.1) limits a standard dryer vent to 35 feet from the hose connection to the outside, and every sharp 90° elbow counts as 5 feet of that, a 45° as 2½ feet. Many Arizona homes, especially two-story stucco homes venting through the roof, are close to or over that limit. Long runs clog faster; the technician will tell you if yours is one, and whether rerouting or a booster fan would help.

How a visit works

  1. Book a window. Pick 8–11, 11–2 or 2–5, Sunday to Friday. We call to confirm and again before we arrive.
  2. Airflow test. We measure at the outside vent and check the hose behind the dryer.
  3. Price, then work. Standard vent: $79. Anything more, you see photos and the price first.
  4. Clean and re-test. The full run is cleaned, the dryer is run, and the airflow is measured again.

Dryer Vent Cleaning Questions

How long does a dryer vent cleaning take?

Usually 30 to 60 minutes for a standard wall vent. Roof vents and long runs take longer.

Do I need to be home?

Yes, someone needs to be there to give access to the dryer and the laundry room.

Do you move the dryer?

Yes. We pull it out, disconnect the hose, clean, reconnect and push it back. We never disconnect gas lines.

Can I clean the vent myself?

You can clean the lint screen and the hose behind the dryer. Brushing a long run, a roof vent or a run through the attic is where a professional cleaning and an airflow test make the difference.

What if I don't want the extra work?

Then we do the $79 cleaning and you pay $79. Nothing extra happens without your OK.
